Chapter 1: The Rift
The Beginning – BTF Unknown: When the Great King existed, the world of Orn was created, his capital being Castle Justice in the southern land of Haven, beyond the Haven Mountains. When the Great Old One was defeated by the Great King, the battle gave birth to the pantheons of the continents of Haven, Zandoria, Hakah, Moriana, Dyostopia, and Teraan.
The Rift – BTF Unknown: When Zandoria was green, brown, and rich in soft soil, there was a rift in the various planes of existence, at the fall of the Great Old One. The Rift brought about many races into Zandoria.
Three mighty dragons fell from the skies, where all the dragons of the world descended from. Legend says Bahamut, the platinum dragon-god, kicked them out from the stars because of a rebellion.
- Carvakus, the devourer of mountains, created the mountains and highlands.
- Kralkatorrik, the strong and swift one, sprouted the forests and savage rivers.
- Tamara, the kind and heartful, who took to the sky and created the clouds, where the first snow of Zandoria came from.
Kralkatorrik and Tamara fought with Carvakus, but were defeated. Carvakus wished to consume the planet of Orn, but he was defeated by the Heroes of Old, called Giants and Carvakus was buried under a mountain by the Cloud Giant, Tigorian the Mountain Slayer.
200 PTF: The Giants and Dragons lived in Zandoria in those days. The Giants were called heroes.
- Tigorian the Mountain Slayer, slayer of Carvakus.
- Yjord Stonebreaker, smithy of ancient weapons.
- Frode Wise and Clever, created mazes and dungeons with secrets untold.
- Thyra Mother of Shields, wife of Yjord Stonebreaker.
- Ebrog Horsehunter, who was a famous monster hunter and brought into existence the Dire Horse.
- Drozthrus He Who Breathes Fire, a descendant of a dragon.
Chapter 2: The Natives of Zandoria
198 PTF – Claremond was founded, home of the Dragonborn.
278 PTF – Winterstall was founded, home of the Dwarves.
304 PTF – Hearthallow was founded, home of the Elves.
201 PTF – 348 PFT: The Knaves came from the great north and landed by ship by the hundreds. They settled into Zandoria, took land and traded with the mysterious mountain folk who supposedly came from the Feywild.
The Knaves took to hunting as a means of showing strength, killing Dragons and Giants, leaving tombs as victorious monuments to whichever Knave killed them.
- Svend slayed Tigorian, the Mountain Slayer.
- Njal slayed Frode Wise and Clever
- Liv slayed Thyra Mother of Shields
- Estrid slayed Ebrog Horsehunter
- Rune slayed Drozthrus He Who Breathes Smoke
While many of the tombs of these giants are lost to time, rumors tell of some locations of these: The Rustfront Caverns. One might reside somewhere among the Tillmar Summit, while legends tells of still another resides somewhere along the coast of the Variant Sea, perhaps near Blythmark or Deepbell. The most prominent is in the Iron Highlands, though no one has ventured that far.
Chapter 3: The Uncrowned King
350 PTF – 368 PTF An ancient wizard, named Kolakretai, rose at the birth of Hearthallow’s founding, under the Elven King Suul.
Kolakretai changed his name to this part is scratched out and he used his great powers to eat souls and evolve all flesh.
He was going to take the throne by force, if it were not for the assist of The Knave, Rander of Frostegarde, led an onslaught against the wizard and Hearthallow with the help of Winterstall’s dwarven kingdom and the mysterious mountain folk, using a secret power, which led to this part is scratched out‘s demise. Legend calls this would be ruler, The Uncrowned King.
Chapter 4: Riverband, and the First Zandorian War
389 PTF: Riverband’s founder was Lady Kacie Fanthavreld. She made pieces with Winterstall and Hearthhallow and Claremond. At a festival of the four kingdoms, Riverband was named the Capital of Zandoria for her political exploits.
Lady Kacie Fanthavreld was found dead in her quarters, with her eyes struck red. Through an unknown source, the accused were the Dragonborn kings and queens of Claremond. There was a war, which brought the downfall and extinction of Claremond and her citizens.
390 PTF: After Lady Kacie’s successor took over Riverband, there was a steady unrest between the kingdoms.
570 PTF: The second Rift (or at least that’s what people called it) broke open above Riverband. The Planes of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air tore open, and an attack of various creatures and powers from those Planes reigned down on Riverband’s citizens. No aid was given from the neighboring kingdoms. But a secret family of Genasi closed the Rifts and rescued the kingdom.
586 PTF: At the death of the king of Riverband, the unrelated King Baldus the First took the throne, who remains to this day.
Chapter 5: The Second Zandorian War, The Kobold War
545 PTF – 547 PTF: The Kobolds rose from the underdark and attempted to decimate the land of Hallvard in Zandoria. Thus was the Kobold War. The Elven City of Hearthallow founded the Silvershields, an elite team of Elven military power. The war turned in the favor of Hearthallow, and the Kobolds became extinct.
Most notable among the Silvershields was its Captain Ryder, or “The Golden Bear”
